2020-2021 Reopening Plan


3/10/2021 Update to Distribution of Meals: 

March 10, 2021 will be the last day of meal deliveries by bus.  With face-to-face learning starting on March 17, meal distribution will change to the following:  

Students Opting for Face-to-face learning:  Students will receive breakfast and lunch at school Monday through Thursday.  On Mondays and Wednesdays, students in school will be sent home with dinners and snacks for Monday-Thursday. 

Students Opting for Face-to-face learning on Friday:  Students who attend school on Monday through Thursday can pick up meals at the schools listed below on Fridays only.

Students Opting to Remain Virtual:  Meals will be available at the schools noted below on Tuesdays and Fridays.  It is recommended that parents/students pick up meals from the school closest to their home.  Parents/students will not be required to report to the school of attendance to pick up meals.  Each school will have a “drive thru” line in which to pick up the meals.  If your child is not with you, you will be required to give the name of your child and the school they normally attend.  

• Cool Springs              11:15 am – 12:15 pm

• Lakemont         12:00 pm – 1:00 pm  

• Pleasants Lane 11:15 am – 12:15 pm

• Walnut Hill         11:15 am – 12:15 pm

• Westview Early Childhood 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

• Vernon Johns 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

(Note:  There are no pickups at Petersburg High School or Blandford Academy)

Petersburg City Public Schools will continue to provide meals to students throughout the school year. Meals will be provided on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays following the schedule below:

Meals

Mondays – breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack for, Tuesday, and Wednesday

Wednesday– breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack for, Thursday and Friday

Fridays – Dinner, and snack for Saturday and Sunday and breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack for Monday

Exceptions to the schedule- NO MEALS will be given out on November 25 – 27, December 21 – January 1, January 18, April 2 – 9, and May 31.  

Meals will be provided at the locations noted below on Tuesday, January 19, and Tuesday, June 1.  The school division will provide media releases as reminders closer to the impacted dates and to provide any changes to the meal distribution schedule.
