PETERSBURG AREA TRANSIT PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by Petersburg Area Transit on August 14, 2023, at 100 W. Washington St. at 5:00 pm. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to allow for public engagement on Petersburg Area Transit South Crater Rd. extension to now include service to Richard Bland College.

Recommendation:   Petersburg Area Transit is constantly searching for ways to improve its bus operations to make a more efficient riding experience for our citizens. Through surveys and the TSP (Transit Strategic Plan) PAT has collaborated with RBC (Richard Bland College) to establish an extension of the South Crater Rd. route. This will give our citizens opportunities to further their educational and travel demands.

The SCR/RBC Express will be called the SCR/RBC Express. The route will continue to service all existing stops along South Crater Rd; but will now include Addison Apartments, Jessie Lee Apartments and Richard Bland College. Petersburg Area Transit and Richard Bland College are excited about this opportunity and look forward to this great partnership.

At the public Hearing Petersburg Area Transit and Richard Bland College will extend the opportunity for interested persons, agencies, and businesses to be heard regarding any social, economic, or other impacts they foresee the proposed service extension could have. Interested persons may submit orally or in writing, any comments, suggestions, or protest.
