Petersburg Prepares for Possible Winter Storm
Petersburg Public Works and Utilities Storm Response Team are pretreating bridges and main roads today to prepare for forecasted snow. The City Storm Response Team will continue to work through the day and night, treating and clearing roads as needed. Police and Fire are also monitoring road conditions.
The City asks citizens to stay off the roads during the snowstorm. Road crews are better able to cover streets with less traffic. Residents are also asked to use off-street parking when available.
Citizens should report poor road conditions or fallen trees blocking roads to the Petersburg Bureau of Police NON-EMERGENCY LINE at (804) 732-4222. Any power outages should be reported to Dominion Energy at 1-866-366-4357. As always, in an emergency, call 911.
