City of Petersburg Government Offices Closed
Due to inclement weather, the City of Petersburg Government Offices, Circuit Court, and Clerk of Court will be closed on Monday, January 6, 2025. The winter storm projection shows a steady increase in snow and ice in the city. Essential personnel should report for work.
Petersburg Public Works and Utilities Storm Response Team are treating roads and will continue to do so through the night. Police and Fire are also monitoring road conditions.
The City asks citizens to stay off the roads. With less traffic, road crews can better cover the streets. Residents are also asked to use off-street parking when available.
Citizens should report poor road conditions or fallen trees blocking roads to the Petersburg Bureau of Police NON-EMERGENCY LINE at (804) 732-4222. Any power outages should be reported to Dominion Energy at 1-866-366-4357. As always, in an emergency, call 911.
There will be no trash collection on Monday, January 6. Trash collection will be a day behind this week.
