On Saturday November 1, 2025, at 7:15 pm Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) will be launching its evening service. The service hours will be from 7:15 pm through 9:15 pm. The last departure will be at 9:15 m from Petersburg Station, returning and ending service at 10:1 5pm. At this time there will be a 6:15 pm -7:15 pm shutdown for cleaning and operator breaks. In addition, PAT's Route 3 Richmond Express service has been repurposed as well. It will continue to service McGuire Veterans Hospital but will discontinue the Downtown Richmond Broad Street portion of the route. The route 3 will now travel through Colonial Heights and Chester Va utilizing Adams-MLK- Boulevard-Rt U.S.1 and continuing to McGuire by way of I-95 South and returning the same. There have been 3 additional trips added to the Monday-Friday services and 12 trips for Saturdays. Saturday services will end at Breckenridge Shopping Center In Chester Va.
