[ARCHIVED] Petersburg Comprehensive Plan Block Party
The City of Petersburg Planning Commission in partnership with the City’s Planning Department will host a Comprehensive Plan Block Party on Friday, November 8th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm at the Halifax Triangle in Petersburg.
The Block Party will serve as a creative kickoff for the review of the City’s comprehensive plan. During the event on Friday, attendees will enjoy music, food, fun, and fellowship with representatives from City departments. The ultimate goal of the block party is to engage citizens in the process of reviewing the City’s comprehensive plan and gaining feedback from residents on ways to improve Petersburg.
“This is the first time the City has introduced this review with an element of fun like the block party,” said Michelle Peters, Director of Planning for the City of Petersburg. “The Planning Commission, Planning Department, and our City leaders are energized in this process as we intentionally seek opinions from those who live, work, and play in Petersburg.”
In addition to the fun features during Friday’s block party, participants will have the opportunity to complete surveys and communicate with City personnel on best ways to improve the City.
The Comprehensive Plan Block Party will take place on Friday, November 8th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm at the Halifax Triangle on Halifax Street in Petersburg.
