City of Petersburg Hosts Fire Station #4 Open House

City of Petersburg Fire Station #4 Open House

In April 2020, the City of Petersburg temporarily closed Fire Station #4 (Walnut Hill) due to health and safety concerns. The fire station was experiencing severe issues with mold, asbestos, and an overall antiquated infrastructure.

In May, Petersburg City Council approved an emergency requisition for immediate repairs to Fire Station #4. Remediation and renovation work were completed this Summer and an open house for the public will be held on Saturday, August 29th. The open house will include tours of the updated facility. A facial covering will be required to participate in the facility tours and tour groups will remain small to allow for proper social distancing.
