[ARCHIVED] Joint Law Enforcement Operation in Petersburg, Virginia

Joint Law Enforcement Operation in Petersburg, Virginia

The Petersburg Bureau of Police, in collaboration with State and Federal law enforcement partners, continue their staunch efforts to disband the criminal element that unfortunately contributes to community discomfort. Police Chief, Travis Christian, states that "these vigorous enforcement practices will be continuous as we strive toward advancing our mission to reduce the fear of crime in our community."

On Thursday, December 17, 2020 working in collaboration with the Virginia State Police and other Law Enforcement partners, authorities once again took to the streets. As a result of their combined efforts, 12 arrests were made, 3 illegal firearms were removed from the streets, and narcotics were seized. The Petersburg Bureau of Police would like to thank its team members, the Virginia State Police, other Law Enforcement partners, and most importantly community partners for their hard work in keeping our community safe.

If you believe you have information that could help detectives in continuing this effort, please call Petersburg Police at 804-732-4222 or Petersburg/Dinwiddie Crime Solvers at 804-861-1212.
