[ARCHIVED] City of Petersburg Thanksgiving Holiday Closings

City of Petersburg government offices, including City Hall and the City Hall Annex, will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Monday, December 1, 2014.

The Thanksgiving Holiday closings also include the Petersburg Freedom Support Center and all Department of Parks and Leisure Service community centers and any activities. Regular hours will resume on Monday.

Dogwood Trace Golf Course will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, November 27. The golf course will resume normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, November 28.

Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) will be closed on Thursday, November 27. PAT will open on a regular operating schedule on Friday, November 28, 6:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. PAT will also offer a holiday express route. Click here for more information.

The City of Petersburg Museums and Visitor Center will be also be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The museums and visitor center will reopen on Friday, November 28 following the regular fall/winter hours. For specific time information, please visit the Cultural Affairs, Arts and Tourism site on the City’s main webpage. The museums are free to City residents.

Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA trash collections will be delayed one day in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The re will be no trash collection on Thanksgiving Day. Thursday trash collection services will take place on Friday, November 28 and Friday trash collection services will take place on Saturday, November 29.
