Late Opening for City of Petersburg Government Offices
The City of Petersburg Government Offices, Circuit Court, and Clerk of Court will open at 10:00 am (circuit court docket will begin at 11:00 am) on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. The weather forecast is for more snow, ice, and freezing temperatures overnight.
Petersburg Public Works teams continue to treat roads, and Police and Fire will monitor road conditions overnight.
The City asks citizens to stay off the roads tonight. With less traffic, road crews can better cover the streets. Residents are also asked to use off-street parking when available.
Citizens should report poor road conditions or fallen trees blocking roads to the Petersburg Bureau of Police NON-EMERGENCY LINE at (804) 732-4222. Any power outages should be reported to Dominion Energy at 1-866-366-4357. As always, in an emergency, call 911.
PAT will delay bus service January 7, 2025, by one hour. Service time will begin at 7:15 am. PAT will expect to resume full service unless road conditions suggest otherwise. If road conditions are not in driving conditions, PAT will resume its Inclement Weather policy until conditions improve.
