ANNUAL FUNDRAISING DINNER TO BENEFIT THE CITY OF PETERSBURG RECREATION, SPECIAL EVENTS AND VOLUNTEERISM DEPARTMENT HOSTED BY PETERSBURG NATIVE & CELEBRITY FIT PRO DON ‘DB DONAMATRIX’ BROOKS
Los Angeles-Celebrity Fit Pro and Virginia State University Alum, Don ‘DB Donamatrix’ Brooks and his daughter, Tuesdae Donyale, will host their annual fundraising dinner in Petersburg on Friday, April 4, 2025. The Benefit Gala has become one of the City’s most special community events. All proceeds from The Benefit Gala go directly to the City of Petersburg Recreation, Special Events & Volunteerism Department. This highly fashionable evening aims to raise money to support the Department’s programs and services offered to the youth and older adults who reside in the City of Petersburg, reducing the out-of-pocket costs for these residents.
The Benefit Gala is Friday, April 4, 2025, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm (Red Carpet, 6:30 pm) at the Petersburg Public Library Event Center, 201 W. Washington Street.
In just two years, over $13,000 has been donated to the City of Petersburg Recreation, Special Events & Volunteerism Department. Tables at The Benefit Gala can be reserved at www.donamatrixday.com. Tables accommodate 8 comfortably seated.
The Benefit Gala also honors four Petersburg area natives: the DON-A-MATRIX TRAINING Icon of the Year, Community Advocate of the Year, High School Athlete of the Year, and Collegiate Athlete of the Year.
Virginia State University President Dr. Makola M. Abdullah will be delivering the keynote address.
For nearly a decade, Don ‘DB Donamatrix’ Brooks has collaborated with the City of Petersburg to help improve the overall health outcomes within the City. One of Brooks’ most famous slogans is Mind Right Body Ready. It has motivated thousands worldwide to engage in positive, rewarding behaviors toward good physical and mental health.

The Donamatrix Day Fitness Festival is on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Petersburg High School from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. The annual Fit Fest will feature youth and adult flag football and kickball tournaments, popular local fitness trainers, and The Donamatrix Workout. The Fit Fest is FREE for everyone!
