Notice of 4th Ward Meeting
Petersburg City Councilman Charlie Cuthbert will hold a 4th Ward meeting Wednesday July 9, 2025, starting at 5:30 p.m. and ending no later than 7:30 p.m., in the Event Center Auditorium of the Petersburg Public Library, 201 West Washington Street.
The focus of the meeting will be on speeding in Petersburg and what more can be done to discourage it. The City Administration will give those attending an update as to steps taken after the 4th Ward meeting held in May to address Traffic Calming Request Forms submitted by Councilman Cuthbert concerning speeding in the 1700 and 1800 blocks of South Crater Road, the 200 block of Henry Street, Low Street, Myrick Avenue, and West Bank Street. In addition, the City Administration will address speeding on Liberty Street, South Sycamore Street, North Sycamore Street, and the first two blocks of East Fillmore Street as well as any other streets brought to the attention of the City Administration by citizens attending the meeting. Representatives of the City Manager's Office and the Petersburg Police Department have been invited to attend to address issues and to answer questions.
This meeting is open to all citizens and property owners in Petersburg, regardless of Ward.
