Tornado Watch Alert
The City of Petersburg & surrounding areas are under a tornado watch until 7:00 PM tonight.
What to do in case of a tornado:
Seek shelter immediately in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor, away from windows.
Avoid mobile homes or vehicles—find a sturdy building.
Protect yourself with a mattress, heavy blankets, or a helmet.
Stay tuned to weather updates via TV, radio, or your phone.
Do not go outside until the all-clear is given.
The Comfort Station at Petersburg Area Transit (100 W. Washington Street) is open until 10:00 pm if you need shelter.
