On April 30, 2015, Governor Terry A. McAuliffe declared May as Business Appreciation Month in Virginia. The City of Petersburg will celebrate Business Appreciation Month with two economic vitality events for the local businesses and community to show the city’s appreciation for the businesses in the Petersburg area.
On Monday, May 18, 2015 the City of Petersburg and the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce will host the Downtown Economic Vitality Meeting for Businesses and Property Owners at The Globe (201 N Sycamore) from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. City officials will provide an economic updates, lead a conversation the business owners on the downtown economic vitality collaborative, discuss the city’s rebranding campaign and upcoming events in the area.
On Thursday, May 28, 2015, the City of Petersburg and the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce presents the 19th Annual Petersburg Business Appreciation Celebration at the Ward Center for Contemporary Art (132 N Sycamore Street) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased to this event by contacting the Chamber of Commerce or the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.
