[ARCHIVED] City of Petersburg Farmers Market Closing for Season on Saturday, October 31

The mission of the Petersburg Farmers Market is to enhance the quality of life for Petersburg residents by providing access to fresh and affordable food. As the growing season slows down, we’re thinking ahead and preparing for next year. The Petersburg Farmers Market will close on Saturday, October 31 and reopen in May of 2016.

Also, the City of Petersburg is pleased to announce the appointment of Cynthia Martin as interim farmers market manager. Ms. Martin’s career history includes positions in nonprofit management, agricultural economics, community development, housing and rural community assistance programs. We look forward to her leadership in bringing diverse partners together in creating extraordinary Farmers Market experiences in 2016! Ms. Martin begins working on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

The Market is open 7 a.m. to Noon. It is located under the Martin Luther King Bridge. For additional information, please call (804) 733-2352.
