On Friday, December 11, the City of Petersburg will host the Holiday Illumination and Santa's Christmas Pageantry in Old Towne Petersburg.

A march from the Courthouse to the Union Train Station at 5 P.M. will kick off an evening of Christmas reverie.
Coordinated with regular Friday With the Arts activities, Santa’s Work Shop will be transported from the North Pole to the Union Train Station. Bring your kiddies to whisper their Christmas wishes and have a picture made with the jolly old elf.
Other featured events include carolers singing holiday favorites, Christmas story readings, carriage rides, a petting zoo, reindeer games and many more surprises... All capped off with a fireworks display.

The following streets will be closed on Friday, December 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sycamore and Tabb street
- Sycamore and Bank street
- Sycamore street and Old Street

There will be no vehicular traffic allowed on River Street and the Farmers Market Circle from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. to allow time for set up. Once the last car of the parade passes, the area will be opened up to allow for parking and traffic to pass through in this area.

Please come join the evening’s fun and show the true spirit of Christmas and the solidarity of "I am Petersburg".
