[ARCHIVED] City-Wide Boil Notice Lifted for the City of Petersburg

(Petersburg, Virginia) — July 26, 2017.  Petersburg City Manager Aretha R. Ferrell-Benavides has lifted the city-wide water boil notice for City of Petersburg residents.  The water line rupture near South Crater Road was repaired shortly before 6:30 this morning.  However, the boil notice stays in effect for Woodmere Apartments only.  “I am extremely proud of the Public Utilities team for working tirelessly throughout the night to ensure that our residents have safe drinking water,” said Aretha R. Ferrell-Benavides.   If residents should have questions, they may call the police non-emergency number at 804-732-4222.
